4sight Market Research, a woman-owned, full service advertising and marketing research firm, was established in 2008 by Nanci Banks, a 30-year veteran of the marketing research industry. Ms. Banks has both client side and vendor side experience, most recently as Research Director, Business Development for BSMG/Baltimore Sun Media Group.
For 12 years prior to joining BSMG, Ms. Banks was a corporate officer of a Washington, DC-based, premier full service advertising and marketing research firm. Her clients represented a broad array of industries, including healthcare, financial services, emerging technologies and education.
In 1989, Ms. Banks created the Market Research Department within the Marketing Division of Provident Bank, a $6.0 Billion financial institution headquartered in Baltimore, MD.
One of the nation's most recognized African-American moderators, Ms. Banks has extensive experience in qualitative multi-ethnic (e.g., African-American, Arab-American, Asian-American, Hispanic and Iranian-American), as well as multi-generational (e.g., Generation M's, Y's, X's, Baby Boomers and older adults) research.
A DC native, Ms. Banks has a BA in Political Science and Economics and has completed graduate work towards an MPA, all from American University. Ms. Banks is also active in the greater Washington, DC community having served on the Board of Associates of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, the Board of Trustees of St. John's Episcopal School (Olney, MD) and as a current member of the Board of Directors of IONA Senior Services.
